Step 1: Ensure surfaces are clean and dry (Optional: Apply PVA, diluted 1:5 with water, to plasterboard – no need to wait to dry). Cut or pull off “cross-bars” before or after fitting:

Step 3: To Fit, insert liner from below ceiling, rim to top, rotate and pull down, and straighten to ceiling with trowel – do not adjust position as plaster dries:

Step 4: To Finish, if necessary, wait a few hours before adding final layer of plaster, then trim excess off with a knife:

TESTING AND ASSURANCE

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Injection moulded supports can be removed by cutting with scissors, or left in place, for example as support to fill a hole with plaster – see images below. Fill holes entirely and quickly using 50mm fibreglass jointing tape placing it on top of the cross-supports and loading/injecting excess plaster – use real plaster, e.g. Easifill 60 plaster, for complete fire-proofing. Skim over the 1 mm recessed surface when dry for an “As-New” ceiling.

Rim at top provides additional support and ensures the insert is not pulled through if used without plaster in a 72mm hole
